# Analytics

> Build custom dashboards to track agent performance and visualize your conversations

## Overview

The Analytics page lets you build fully customizable dashboards to track your agents' performance, visualize trends, and understand your conversations at a glance.

You don't need to know SQL to use Analytics. The built-in **[AI Query](/logs/analytics-custom-charts#using-ai-query)** feature lets you describe the chart you want in plain English, and it builds everything for you: the query, the chart type, and the configuration. You can also write SQL queries directly if you prefer.

There are two ways to add charts to your dashboard:

* **Built-in charts**: pre-built metrics like total calls, connected rate, and call volume. One click to add, zero configuration.
* **[Custom charts](/logs/analytics-custom-charts)**: create any visualization you want, powered by AI or manual SQL queries against your call and chat data.

## Creating Your Analytics Dashboard

### Navigating to Analytics

Open the **Analytics** page from the left sidebar under **Overview**. The first time you visit, a default view is created for you automatically.

### What's a View?

A view is a separate dashboard. You might create one for "Sales Calls", another for "Support Chats", and another for "Weekly Executive Report". Each view has its own charts, filters, and layout.

### Creating a New View

Click the <Icon icon="ellipsis" /> menu next to the view dropdown in the header, then select **Add New View**. Type a name for your view and click the save icon.

### Switching Between Views

Use the **dropdown selector** in the header to switch between your views. Strada remembers which view you last opened.

### Renaming a View

Click the <Icon icon="ellipsis" /> menu > **Rename View**, type the new name, and click save.

### Deleting a View

Click the <Icon icon="ellipsis" /> menu > **Delete View**. You'll be asked to confirm. You cannot delete your last remaining view.

## Filters and Date Range

Filters control which data appears across your entire dashboard. Every chart on the page updates when you change a filter.

### Date Range

Click the **date picker** in the top-left to choose a start and end date. You can also use the **Quick Select** presets: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, or set a Custom range. The default is the last 14 days.

### Agent Filter

Click **Filter** to open the filter popover. Select one or more agents to include or exclude. This is useful when you want to focus on a specific agent's performance.

### Campaign Filter

Similarly, you can filter by campaign name to focus on a specific outbound campaign.

### Saving Filters

Click **Save Filters** to persist your current filter setup. The next time anyone in your organization opens this view, the saved filters load automatically.

<Tip>Saved filters apply to all charts in the view, both built-in and custom.</Tip>

## Built-in Charts

Built-in charts give you instant access to the most common metrics without any setup.

### Adding and Removing Built-in Charts

1. Click the **Add Chart** button in the top-right.
2. Under **Built-in Charts**, you'll see the available options. A green checkmark means the chart is already on your dashboard.
3. Click a chart to **add** it. Click the checkmark to **remove** it.

### Available Built-in Charts

| Chart                 | What It Shows                                                   |
| --------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Calls Made**        | Total number of calls placed during the selected date range     |
| **Connected Rate**    | Percentage of calls that successfully connected with a person   |
| **Conversion Rate**   | Percentage of connected calls that achieved the desired outcome |
| **Avg Call Duration** | Average length of connected calls in MM:SS format               |
| **Call Volume**       | A daily bar chart showing call volume broken down by agent      |

### Customizing Built-in Charts

* **Connected Rate** and **Conversion Rate** can be configured to match your business logic. Click the <Icon icon="ellipsis" /> menu on the chart > **Configure Chart** to define exactly what counts as "connected" or "converted".
* Any built-in chart's description can be updated via the <Icon icon="ellipsis" /> menu > **Change Description**.

  Built-in charts work instantly. No SQL, no configuration. They're the fastest way to get key metrics on your
  dashboard.
